We have been treating this pond proactively throughout the entire year on a monthly basis with bacteria, enzymes, and locking up phosphorus levels in the pond, which are those areas that have high nutrients.
With a surfactant build, copper sulfate will burn through this build up. This is a reactive approach and will give us great results within 12 hours. We will need to come back on a regular basis to keep this under control until we have fully blocked out these nutrients.
